Who We Are

Dr. Marilyne H. O’Hara is a seasoned executive and Founder of Matibo Advisory and Coaching LLC. With over 15 years of experience in M&A operations, strategy, and integration, she has built a reputation for driving enterprise-wide initiatives and delivering exceptional results across Fortune 500 companies and mid-market organizations. Her expertise spans multiple industries, including financial services, SaaS software, fire protection and security, medical devices, and food packaging.

As a proven leader in program management and operational excellence, Dr. O’Hara has spearheaded complex projects, including managing over 30 global M&A transactions totaling more than $29 billion in valuation. She specializes in M&A due diligence, post-close integration, divestiture management, enterprise PMO strategy, and cultural and organizational design. A Six Sigma Black Belt and Fulbright Scholar, she leverages her analytical skills and cultural fluency to navigate fast-paced, changing environments with ease.

Prior to founding Matibo Advisory and Coaching LLC, Dr. O’Hara held executive roles at Block (formerly Square), Billtrust, and Tyco Fire Protection Products, where she built high performing teams and implemented innovative strategies to streamline processes, optimize operations, and drive sustainable growth. Dr. O’Hara’s core strengths lie in her ability to navigate complex business challenges, align strategic objectives, and deliver measurable outcomes. With native French fluency, exceptional negotiation skills, and a passion for operational excellence, she is a trusted advisor to organizations seeking to achieve transformational success.

Dr. O’Hara holds a Ph.D. in Biosystems Engineering from Oklahoma State University, along with advanced certifications in M&A from The Wharton School and executive leadership from McKinsey. She currently resides in Pennsylvania with her husband and two children.
